Kit won his first composition award at age 8, and wrote his first pop song at age 12 when he began idolizing iconic pop songwriters like Max Martin (Backstreet Boys, N*Sync, Britney Spears), David Foster (Toni Braxton, Michael Bolton), Diane Warren, and countless others. He gradually honed his skills through his teen years, increasing his listening preferences to include legends like Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Jamiroquai, Steely Dan, and Prince. By age 19, he had written his first potential hit, called “Bestill My Heart”, which nearly 20 years later would win a Great American Song Contest award and be featured on Kit’s debut album “Love + Pain”.
