AMBER SCHROEDER (website), a native of Gresham, Oregon, received her Bachelor’s degree in 2001 and a Masters of Education in 2005, from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon, where she participated in the award winning PSU Chamber Choir under direction of Dr. Bruce Browne (Marktoberdorf Tour 2000, Estonian Tour 2003).

She has been a featured soloist with Milwaukie Lutheran Church, Tilikum Choir Community and First Unitarian Church in Portland, Oregon (Ruby Bridges Suite-Darrel Grant). She can also be seen singing at local hot spots around the Portland area. She loves partnering with friend and musician extraordinaire, Kit Taylor, and has worked with him on multiple projects around town and in the recording studio.

KIT TAYLOR (full bio) is a 12x award-winning singer/songwriter, pianist x producer based in both Portland, OR and Nashville, TN, USA. He was accepted into the prestigious Berklee University in Boston, MA. Kit has worked with talent from around the globe, including multi-platinum UK pop group BBMAK, and R&B sensation and college classmate Jarrod Lawson (Entertainment Weekly).

Aside from their work individually, Amber & Kit have a band that takes inspiration from Oregon-based but internationally known Pink Martini. With those two at the helm, every show features a rotating group of stellar musicians, most often Willie Matheis or Clark Bondy on sax, and for larger shows Damian Erskine (bass) and Tyrone Hendrix (drums). Though new, the group brought 150+ out to their debut performance in Milwaukie, OR, and regularly fills Spinella’s Off the Wall in Gresham, OR (100+). Kit himself has also sold out the Aladdin Theater (600+) on three separate occasions and Jimmy Mak’s at least 20 times with his band Intervision.

The group plays an eclectic mix of Kit’s pop/soul originals, plus covers including Whitney Houston, Sinatra, Toni Braxton, various showtunes, Sting, Phil Collins, Lionel Richie and countless other jazz standards and pop hits.
